A young star in the colourful world of reggae, the music of human mixing par excellence, Xlim uses all his drive and talent to offer a message of peace.

Moussa “Xlim” Diawara was born in 1984 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. His family was from Gambia and Mali, and he emigrated at age 14 to Canada, where he continued his studies.

In Côte d’Ivoire, Xlim grew up in an atmosphere of intermingling, in a milieu heavily influenced by western styles. Thanks to this opening he experienced as a child, he quickly learned the basics of Quebec culture and adapted easily to his new country.

With a passion for the world of music and its different styles, he registered for courses in guitar and song. He soon discovered a greater attraction for the stage than for recording studios. In 2003, inspired by the hip-hop movement, especially 2pac, IAM and many others, he formed up his group, which he called Le Klergé.

Born and raised in Haiti, world music artist Wesli comes up as a strong player in this new generation of artists. Multi talented singer, guitar player, percussionist, producer and arranger, he is described as Montreal’s revelation. Founding hope through his devotion to music, having grown up in a poor and violent ghetto of Haiti, he is inspiring a better future for younger generations. His debut album “Kouraj” is a powerful testimony including songs such as “Ghetto”, “La vi dròl” and the title song “Kouraj”, in which he exposes the struggle of the every day life, the actual situation in Haiti (extreme poverty, kidnappings, environment…) and the importance of reaching for higher grounds.
